Machine Operator Team LeadersWe are recruiting 2 x Machine Operator Team Leaders based at Howdens Work Surfaces, our solid surfaces production facility in Holme upon Spalding Moor, East Yorkshire.The positions are within Autoline and Finishing.Shift patterns:Autoline: Monday – Friday Rotating Shifts – 5:45am – 2:00pm and 1:45pm – 10:00pmFinishing: Sunday to Thursday fixed Night Shift – 9:45pm – 6amBenefits of working for Howdens as a Machine Operator:
- Machine Operator, Teams Leaders will receive B Grade pay rate plus responsibility pay of £2,032.68 per year + production bonus.

What you’ll be doing…
- Managing Teams within either Autoline or Finishing department
- Performing machine pre use safety checks and setting up the machine in the allocated time frame using the specific SOP.
- Continuous monitoring of the machine during production
- Performing minor adjustments when required and ensuring the area is maintained to the agreed housekeeping standards.
- Planning and organising tooling and equipment to operate machine safely, effectively and efficiently in line with the production plan.
What we’re looking for…
- Previous experience of operating machinery
- Experience of working within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement approach to continually seek ways to improve our processes
