Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term client’s team one of their properties in Eagan, MN (55122). The ideal candidate will have 1+ years’ experience in hands on maintenance, boilers experience is required (certification is preferred), EPA experience required (certification preferred), CPO experience is required, strong organization skills and someone that will lead by example. This role is a direct hire role.This role will be working with one building: 232 Market Rate Units, 7 Buildings, Boilers, and Wall Unit AC’s.Salary: $25-$27/hour. This role is a direct hire role.Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm – must be available for apartment turns and emergency response/on-call. On-call will be every 4 weeks and further details can be provided during interviews.Onsite team: 2 MT, 1 Maintenance Supervisor, 1 PM, 1 APM.Under the direction of the Service Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for bringing units up to market ready condition in accordance with company
standards. The typical range of hours is based on the community needs and may require weekends and after-hour emergency services.Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Completes resident service request in a timely manner.
- Has knowledge of various maintenance functions including and not limited to plumbing, air conditioning, heating, general carpentry skills, appliance, electrical, painting, caulking, snow removal, scheduling, and life safety issues.
- Maintains grounds, pools/ hot tubs, common areas, and dog parks to keep them clean, free of trash, debris, and other safety issues.
- Performs on-call emergency procedures as required.
- Reports any maintenance issues that affect the budget such as life safety, vacant repairs, property damages, and common area needs to the manager.
- Schedules and performs preventative maintenance and records such activities.
- Is knowledgeable of state, local, and federal housing laws, codes, policies, and systems regarding maintenance.
- Provide superior customer service and always represent the company in a professional manner.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 1 years’ of related experience within residential properties.
- Boilers experience is required (certification is preferred).
- EPA and CPO experience is required, certifications are preferred.
- Hands-on working knowledge of typical apartment maintenance tasks is required.
- Associates must have a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation as this position requires on-call/emergency response.
