We’re united by a shared commitment to excellent and equitable health care.Position OverviewThe Manager, Clinical Services is responsible to the Director, Provincial Health Contact Center for all aspects of the assigned program of care, including the management, coordination and delivery of quality care and patient/client services by competent staff and service partners on a 24-hour basis. The Clinical Manager seeks to promote and maintain a positive, professional, team oriented and service conscious environment.Responsibilities for staff include interviewing, hiring, ongoing evaluation and development of staff as well as the creation of staff rotations. As a key member of the Centre’s management team, the Manager, Clinical Services is responsible for promoting collaborative relationships within the Centre.Responsibilities for managing financial and material resources include reviewing and revising budgets, in collaboration with the Director, Provincial Health Contact Center and in monitoring and taking appropriate actions to ensure the programs remain within the approved budget.Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years current management experience in health care required.
  • Five (5) years current relevant clinical experience required, with experience in Emergency or Primary Care preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fully computerized environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills required.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, critical-thinking, conflict resolution and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated collaborative team building skills required.
  • Demonstrated provincial health system knowledge an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or a related education and experience required.
  • Advanced preparation in management required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).

  • Knowledgeable on collective agreement applications.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing education and participates in professional activities for personal and professional growth.
