About DTMB:

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (https://youtu.be/H_IrVnVjcoA) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

About the position:

Under the direction of the Manager of the Risk, Compliance & Delivery section of Michigan Cyber Security (MCS), this position functions as a first-line unit manager in a complex work area and is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the work activities of the Liaison unit. This individual supervises the unit staff that are involved in the risk assessment and compliance monitoring of all the State agencies. This position is responsible for selecting and assigning unit staff, conducting unit staff meetings to discuss programs and projects, and identifying staff development needs as they relate to the goals of the division and the department. The position especially will

-• Assist in addressing security control requirements per various regulations.

• Review audit findings to determine possible solution and when it should be remediated.

• Address various security concerns/issues and make recommendations to Agency Services and the Agency. This position will work with senior level staff across the enterprise, as well as other areas within DTMB and Agency business partners/clients. It is expected that this position will be a working manager.

Sign-On Bonus:

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $3,500. Up to $1,750 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Position Location/Remote Office:

This position is located in Dimondale, MI. This position may work a hybrid schedule (remote 3 days per week/office 2 days per week). Selected candidates who work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Required Education and Experience

Education

Possession of a bachelor’s degree with not less than 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

Experience

Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator 12.

Alternate Education and Experience

Three years of experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology

Supervisor may be substituted for the education and experience.

Vacation and Sick Leave:Eligible full-time employees receive between15 and 35 personal daysand 13 sick daysper year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

Paid Parental Leave:Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leaveimmediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.

Paid Holidays:Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year’s Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
