Job Description:

The role of Manager, Engineering, is accountable for developing and executing capital projects for assigned plants within a Business Unit (BU), from initial scope development through system qualification. They act as a key resource within the Technical Operations team, supporting introduction of new products, development of technical skills, and delivery of regulatory compliance and sustainability.

  • Lead execution of multiple capital projects across several locations

  • Work cross functionally with business team and plant resources to understand business needs and to develop clear project scope, cost, and schedule

  • Share plans with supply chain and business leaders to secure approval and funding

  • Partner with external resources including equipment and engineering suppliers and construction resources to design and execute projects; directly lead external engineering resources

  • Specify and purchase equipment; verify that equipment meets all needs and requirements; complete equipment testing at vendor locations to verify

  • Update status and communicate progress regularly and transparently

  • Manage projects to meet objectives within defined budget and schedule

  • Drive startup of projects with plant resources to meet project success criteria

  • Provide technical support to improve plant results (efficiency, safety, quality, sustainability); develop plant technical resources

  • Support on-site troubleshooting and issue resolution; facilitate sharing of lessons learned across sites

Important D etails: This is a full-time remote role with approximately 50 percent of travel to our plants in US/Canada.

About You :

You’ll fit right in if you have:

  • BS in an Engineering discipline

  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience that includes successfully managing several capital projects exceeding $5 million per year

  • Understanding ofdesign requirements for food applications, including sanitary design best practices

  • Experience in one of more of the following technologies: liquid mixing/blending, powders mixing/blending, thermal processing (baking, roasting), foods packing, facility design/construction, and/or utilities systems

  • Demonstrated track record of driving substantive improvement in key KPI’s such as cost reduction, reliability, and material loss reduction

  • Direct plant experience in operations, maintenance, and/or engineering

  • Formal project management training or certifications are a plus
