Are you open to the possibilities?Job DescriptionDescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Manager to support our IT operations, focusing on cloud optimization, digital products, and data monetization. This role involves comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and reporting to drive informed decision-making for IT investments and digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial background coupled with a deep understanding of technology, enabling them to provide insights that enhance operational efficiency and align IT spending with business goals.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
- Develop, manage, and refine IT budgets, including CAPEX, OPEX, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for infrastructure, cloud services, and digital platforms
- Conduct financial forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling for IT and digital initiatives
- Evaluate financial performance of digital products and services, ensuring alignment with revenue and growth targets
Cloud Optimization & Cost Management
- Analyze cloud spending and recommend strategies for cost optimization, including workload placement, resource utilization, and vendor negotiations
- Partner with IT teams to monitor cloud consumption and identify opportunities to right-size resources or leverage reserved capacity
- Develop financial models to assess cloud migration and hybrid cloud strategies, including cost-benefit analysis
Digital Products & Data Monetization
- Provide financial insights for the development and commercialization of digital products and services
- Evaluate the ROI of data monetization initiatives, including subscription models, API integrations, and marketplace participation
- Collaborate with product teams to align pricing strategies with market trends and cost structures
Data-Driven Insights & Reporting
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track IT and digital financial performance using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar
- Deliver actionable insights on technology investments, resource allocation, and cost-saving opportunities
- Support data monetization efforts by analyzing revenue streams and identifying untapped opportunities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a financial partner to IT, product, and data teams, fostering collaboration to drive strategic initiatives.
- Communicate financial data effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing recommendations for resource allocation and investment prioritization.
- Support Technology Business Management (TBM) implementation to enhance cost transparency and alignment of IT spend with business outcomes.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial and accounting standards, including cloud-specific reporting requirements.
- Assess financial risks associated with IT investments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting IT and digital spending.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, or CIMA) is preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within IT, digital, or cloud environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud cost optimization, digital product financial management, and data monetization strategies.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in financial systems like SAP, Hyperion, or similar, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., macros, pivot tables).
- Experience with cloud financial management tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of IT frameworks like Technology Business Management (TBM) is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with financial modeling for subscription-based and usage-based revenue models.
