Salary range is:

$115,564.00 – $160,000.00

This position is bonus and/or commission eligible.

The RoleThe Manager of Security Solution Engineering leads a team of skilled engineers to design, develop, and implement security solutions that protect our organization’s critical infrastructure, data, and applications. This role requires a strategic and innovative approach to solution engineering, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable, and adaptable security measures are in place. The Manager of Security Solution Engineering is a thought leader in security design, bridging technical depth with hands-on execution and strategic vision. In this role you will inspire and develop talent while providing strategic direction, leading effectively through outcomes rather than tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of security engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the security engineering team, prioritizing workload, setting goals, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Security Solution Design & Implementation
  • Lead the design, development, documentation and deployment of comprehensive security solutions across networks, systems, and applications to meet current and emerging threats.
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and product development teams to integrate security best practices and build secure-by-design architectures.
• Strategic Planning & Innovation
  • Define and drive the strategic direction for security engineering solutions, aligning with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies and methodologies to improve security posture, including automation, threat intelligence, and advanced defense mechanisms.
• Technical Expertise & Guidance
  • Provide technical guidance and support on complex security projects, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing solutions to enhance protection and performance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on security engineering principles, emerging trends, and best practices.
• Risk Management & Compliance
  • Implement risk assessment frameworks and ensure that solutions are designed to meet compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
  • Identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities within the environment through proactive solution engineering.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner with internal teams such as IT, Compliance, Legal, and Product to ensure cohesive and comprehensive security strategies.
  • Act as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including vendors and third-party partners, on matters related to security engineering solutions.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or 8+ years of experience in security solution engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, EDR), and experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and protocols (e.g., OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), scripting, and automation Proven track record of designing and implementing security solutions in complex, high-traffic environments.
