We are looking for a Manager, Sales Development to join and lead our Global Sales Development Team from our London office.In this role, the primary responsibility will be managing the performance and effectiveness of a team of three based in London, UK, Alexandria, USA and Beijing, China to demonstrate the value of our solutions, grow market share by proactively developing and deploying domain-based sales strategies, and utilizing the team to deliver net new sales pipeline to support the growth of our Intellectual Property Sales group.This is a strategic role responsible for collaboration with key stakeholders across sales, marketing, and product management. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Growth Channels and Sales Development within our Intellectual Property Sales Segment of the business.   • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 1+ year of experience in a management or leadership role, building and managing highly effective teams
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intellectual Property industry experience is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse blend of personalities and levels of authority to reach resolution
  • Capacity to learn and effectively utilize SalesForce.com as well as other software tools relevant to the role, and adhere to assigned sales methodology
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Provide guidance and supervision to the team, including assistance with prioritizing work, onboarding new employees, skills coaching, and proactive performance management.
  • Supports and influences a persistent approach for our sales development representatives and Global sales development representatives.
  • Deploy domain-based sales strategies in collaboration with our account management teams and leadership to deliver gross sales.
  • Focus on growth within our sales organization and assist with retention situations as required.
  • Maintains high degree of knowledge of products represents IP Sales needs in cross-functional meetings and projects.
  • Supports a metrics-driven reporting system to communicate the impact of customer interactions to internal stakeholders across the company.
  • Ability to take on team projects while coaching and influencing peers to accomplish project objectives and deliverables on time.
  • Establish strong relationships with customers, acting as a strategic advisor to understand their unique needs and challenges, and proactively identifying opportunities to drive value.

Hours of Work

  • Full time, regular business hours, some flexibility required to collaborate across multiple time zones
  • This is a hybrid role working 2-3 days a week in our London office.
  • Ability to travel to client sites or company meetings occasionally
