Why we are hiring:
- ERM’s Transactions & Private Markets Advisory Services team is experiencing significant growth, and we are seeking individuals (for various positions and career grades) to deliver best in class sustainability services to meet this demand.
- ERM Private Markets Advisory Consultants work on a wide range of sustainability and climate strategy engagements for private market investors and their portfolio companies, to identify and develop business strategies to unlock value creation opportunities (financial and brand value perspective) from sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities:Managing Clients and Projects
- Support clients in driving ESG and sustainability integration and impact performance improvements across portfolio companies.
- Work alongside our clients’ ESG, investment, operations, and portfolio company management teams to distill complex ESG issues into actionable, right-sized recommendations for private markets context that ensure long-term sustainable business value creation.
Teamwork and Organization
- Work across ERM’s internal functions to bring together senior consulting specialists across all sustainability disciplines to deliver leading operating capabilities and insights to our clients’ portfolio companies.
- Provide thought leadership that engages and motivates all levels of staff and contributes to the realization of value creation for ERM clients.
- Support ERM leadership in strengthening and capitalizing on client relationships via project delivery.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Environmental, or relevant field required. Advanced master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
- Relevant experience in international consultancy or private sector.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, mastery of PowerPoint communication and engaging with clients.
- Proficient Excel skills to identify key trends and data inputs.
- Advanced financial modelling skills and experience is desirable.
- Thorough understanding of the principles for the delivery of ESG impact maturity assessments, sustainability strategy development, target setting and KPIs.
- Familiarity of key climate change frameworks and approaches, including GHG Protocol guidance, setting of Science-Based targets, and experience of NetZero or decarbonization strategy development.
- Experience or familiarity of Capex and Opex analysis and how these are taken into consideration in the development marginal abatement costs and decarbonization investment plans is desirable.
- Awareness of key decarbonization trends and technologies, and ability to confidently leverage the knowledge from ERM technical experts and apply to projects.
- Knowledge of TCFD or EU Green deal components such as SFDR, EU Taxonomy, and CSRD
