We are currently searching for an energetic, motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our Team!POSITION SCOPE:The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing packaging processes to support new business, as well as modifying existing ones in order to optimize efficiencies and minimize the manufacturing costs. The Manufacturing Engineer will also provide solutions to technical problems and recommendations for improvements in production and manufacturing activities and systems. This role will successfully deliver compliant (financial, regulatory (e.g. cGMPs),safety) product and process designs.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:· Lead the design of packaging systems & manufacturing processes.· Optimize packaging/design standards to align with existing and future manufacturing capabilities.· Troubleshoot manufacturing failures, conduct process quality studies.· Troubleshoot and correct problems with packaging designs/process in order to improve production efficiencies/cost.· Provide technical support for existing packaging systems; Analyze BOM’s, deviations in order to proactively address system weaknesses.· In cooperation with the R&D, Engineering and QA team, develop validation documentation and implement validation plans· Manage vendors and consultants to ensure that contracts contain appropriate technical specifications are delivered as required.· Stay current on developments in the field of packaging and control technology· Interface with users, peers, and management to ensure appropriate input and integration of local and corporate standards.· Provide technical expertise during regulatory audits.· Author, review, revise, or approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as required.· Participate in site improvement initiatives.· Participate on cross-functional teams, who address specific problems, facilitate discussion and research.· Create process plans, including layout, labor, and hardware selection.· Work with Maintenance to develop spare parts lists and critical consumables.· Create training documents for hardware as well as troubleshooting guides for processes.JOB SPECIFICATIONS:KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 5+ years progressive experience in CPG, pharmaceutical, or food and beverage industry with prior packaging engineering; Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering field required (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial); Experience in Autocad, Solid Works, ERP systems ; Prior experience in a cGMP regulated industry including experience with relevant regulatory requirements; Prior experience leading the design, start-up, troubleshooting and validating of new product development; Project Management experience required; Experience in the Manufacturing setting, with knowledge and experience in electronics, automation, SOP developmentApollo Health & Beauty Care Ltd. will ensure accommodations are available in consultation with candidates during all stages of the recruitment process.
