As the Programme Engineer for Industrial Operations Programme Delivery (IOPD) Manufacturing, you’ll be responsible for leading and co-ordinating all Manufacturing business functions with the objective of enabling production solutions for new JLR Vehicle Programmes and achieving excellence in Manufacturing delivery to time, cost and quality targets.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of Programme against overall timing plan for all gateways
  • Support the planning and delivery of manufacturing plans for delivery prototype, pre-production build phases and J1
  • Prepare accurate and objective technical status reports in support of programme/launch management meetings and senior programme gateway reviews.
  • Support use of project management tools to support a smooth project delivery (Agile methodologies, P6)
  • Lead and coordinate structured problem solving across cross functional teams in preventing and resolving Manufacturing issues.
  • Support all manufacturing functions in the robust resolution of programme issues to deliver product feasibility and manufacturing launch readiness.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Project/Programme Management experience
  • Experience of risk Management
  • Experience in using data driven problem solving techniques
  • Experience of working in a new product launch environment
  • Demonstrable experience of process improvement and working in a project support role
