Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited does not sponsor work permit applications.Essential Tasks – In this job, you will:

  • Quickly develop an understanding of the team’s currently available software modules and development environment
  • Review requirements and architecture documents and execute manual and automated tests, review test results, analyze issues, and validate fixes
  • Ensure issues found are properly tracked throughout the software life cycle
  • Contribute to team deliverables through involvement in agile scrum sprints
  • Effectively communicate test status and issues with test leads, developers, feature owners, and management
  • Participate in ongoing process improvements including test case maintenance, defect escape analysis, and rainy day test scenario review

General Skills and Abilities – You are:

  • Comfortable conveying verbal and written updates both internally and externally on your work to other technical audiences
  • Able to work independently on parts of the project before coming together as a team to complete it
  • A critical thinker, and can understand or identify complex problems and troubleshoot solutions
  • Able to juggle changing priorities depending on the needs of the project

Digital/Technical Skills & Tools – You are:

  • Basic skill level with any programming language (such as Python or C#)
  • Comfortable handling hardware and understanding how it interacts with the PC
  • Nice to have (But not required):
  • Experience with Github, Jira, and/or Confluence

Required skill level*

  • Basic – e.g., I can do this in simple situations with close or extensive guidance
  • Basic to Intermediate
  • Intermediate – e.g., I can do this in most situations, with occasional guidance
  • Intermediate to expert
  • Expert – e.g., I can do this in exceptionally difficult situations with no guidance and I can be a key resource for others.

Education/Knowledge – You:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical areas*

*Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.Experience (Professional, Academic, Personal) – You:

  • Experience working on projects using C#, Python and Git
