Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician (Weekend Shift). The hours are Friday through Sunday from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. The rate for this position is $28.00 per hour. The weekend shift is eligible for 40 hours of pay for 36 hours worked. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton’s PDCA Power Distribution Control Assembly division in El Paso is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for its Electrical Sector in the Power Distribution and Control Assemblies. The Manufacturing Engineer will be located in El Paso, TX and is the primary lead for creating manufacturing processes and project management in setting up a greenfield operation. This role will help craft the initial plant layout and own the manufacturing design from day one through ramp up to full capability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

In this role you will make process improvements through collection and analysis of manufacturing data to improve safety, product quality, customer delivery, and cost reductions. You will also provide process information for training with production associates and meeting engineering standards.
You will evaluate and establish manufacturing cost, quality plans and investments in new and redesigned components or procedures
• Create manufacturing processes, layouts, routings, and drawings.
• Investigate, analyze and recommend alternate equipment and manufacturing methods.
• Procure equipment and tooling per project plans and Eaton standards.
• Provide technical assistance to customers as requested.
• Resolve manufacturing problems using statistical tools and continuous improvement methods.
• Participate in product process design reviews.
• Investigate and initiate cost reduction programs.
• Evaluate and verify processes and tool designs completed by peers.
• Assist suppliers with processes to improve quality and cost.
• Develop and summarize capital appropriation data and narratives for projects.
• Generate machine and production process capacity and capability studies.
• Implement, promote, and maintain a safe work environment by implementing a culture of zero accidents including prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control, and administer risk and danger in own area and manufacturing processes.
• Promote the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
• Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in engineering or MBA preferred
• Excellent knowledge of engineering problem solving and quality techniques as well as sound understanding of production, inventory, financial principles.
• Excellent working knowledge of lean manufacturing and JIT
• Trained and certified in ELSS and CIF
• Lean/Six Sigma Certification
• Demonstrated project management experience.
