An employee owned provider of naval architecture and marine engineering services is looking for a Marine Engineer to join their team! In this role you will support an innovative team of engineers with groundbreaking projects revolving around critical commercial marine vessels.

Marine Engineer Responsibilities:

Develop engineering analyses to convey engineering design concepts, parameters, requirements and contruction details.

Perform and document engineering inspections on vessels and marine structures

Develop written construction, purchase technical and repair contract specifications to define requirements for products, materials and workmanship.

Provide estimates of ship repair and new consturction production costs

Participate in the continuous improvement of internal engineerign processes, procedures and standards.

Occasional travel for client and project meetings, inspections and testing.

Marine Engineer Requirements:
-
2+ years of engineering within the marine and/or naval architecture industry

Experience working with one-lines, electrical load analysis and wiring diagrams for marine vessels/industrial applications or equivalent experience through internships/education within the marine industry

Strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills

Ability to communicate and prepare written documentation effectively

EIT certificate or ability to obtain in the first year of hire

Bachelors of Science Degree (Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering preferred)
Compensation: $85k – $130k+ depending on educational background and experience
