The VacancyHydrofix part of the RSK Group is a specialist multi-disciplined, UK-based Geoscience Consultancy supporting developers, operators and contractors working on complex projects globally. We are primarily active in the telecommunications, power generation, transmission and distribution sectors.Based in Tattenhall, Cheshire, the in-house team of Consultants comprise of hydrographers, geophysicists and geotechnical experts operating on full project lifecycle delivery from early feasibility studies through to construction support and beyond.The team are now hiring for Marine Geoscience Consultants. This role is suited to talented individuals who are looking to further their technical career. We are looking for career focused individuals who value teamwork, job satisfaction and personal development. The works will involve a dynamic mix of office, home and field based operations on a full time basis (40hrs/week).Key Responsibilities:

  • Authoring of technical studies including initial feasibility, seabed mobility, cable burial risk assessments and survey specifications
  • Technical document reviews
  • Contractor survey management
  • Technical data QC analysis, gap analysis and presentation
  • Attending Client meetings
  • Attending industry and sector specific exhibitions and conferences

Person Specification:

  • University Geoscience degree in a related discipline including (but not limited to) Geology, Geophysics, Geotechnics, Geomatics & Hydrography
  • Offshore field experience in either site investigation and/or construction
  • A strong desire for Continued Professional Development
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in small teams or alone (on & offshore)
  • Customer facing, with excellent relationship management skills
  • Flexibility over work locations (on & offshore)
  • Offshore medical and survival (or ability to obtain)
  • Fundamental IT knowledge
  • Right to work in the UK and preferably also EU
