The Growth Company’s Business Growth Hub team are looking for a Marketing Executive who will support the Marketing Business Partner in the planning and delivering digital marketing and communications activity for the Workforce Development Programme within the GM Business Growth Hub.Please note that this role is subject to contract award, notification end September 2024GM Business Growth Hub is a community of specialists with a passion to help businesses across Greater Manchester to realise their ambitions. Since 2011, the Hub has supported more than 15,000 businesses including start-ups, scale-ups and established businesses, providing finance guidance, creating international links, and paving the way for innovation and people development across the region. We work with the best of public and private partners, offering expert one-to-one and peer-to-peer business support, events, specialist programmes, funding and much more.Key Responsibilities:

  • To work as part of the marketing and communication team to help develop and deliver strategic marketing activity.
  • Manage digital channels including website, social media and email marketing to meet group and stakeholder requirements.
  • To plan and deliver engaging digital marketing campaigns and produce informative and engaging copy and assets for multiple audiences across our digital channels.
  • To work closely with the Communication Team to create engaging content for use on blogs, articles, toolkits and resources to raise awareness, present insights and showcase the success of the programme.
  • Ensure that all digital activity achieves expected outputs, extract, analyse and interpret statistical data from digital channels to guide digital development and improve client experience.
  • To assist in the management of day-to-day marketing and ad-hoc issues associated with the programme managed by the Growth Company.
  • Support a range of procured providers to the agreed digital developments and marketing activities.

Experience:

  • Ability to write high-quality platform-suitable content that is engaging, informative and interesting.
  • Experience in using content management systems, image manipulation software, video editing software, email marketing systems and Google Analytics. social scheduling. tools and other digital marketing tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, project management and organisation skills.
  • Reporting and presentation skills.
  • Previous experience working within a marketing role in the private or public sector.
  • Experience in developing and delivering effective communications across several social media platforms and delivering tangible results against KPIs.
  • Previous experience in using Google Analytics to inform strategic web developments and a good knowledge of SEO and PPC, HTML and CSS.
  • Experience in managing relationships with external agencies/contractors, e.g. web agencies and design agencies, creatives.

  • Degree qualified or equivalent practical experience.
  • Confidence when communicating with people on all levels, face to face and over the telephone.
  • Desire to work as part of a team along with the ability to work independently.
  • Have a proactive approach to work and be able to show initiative.
  • Professional and flexible approach and attitude.
