Job description

About the roleIt’s a really exciting time to be in marketing at Deliveroo as we operate in a hyper competitive environment. Come and be part of the team that’s transforming how we build local marketing strategies in our highest priority areas. We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to develop and lead “hyperlocal” marketing campaigns in London and South UK. A successful candidate will be a commercial thinker and well rounded marketer with experience across the full marketing mix. You’ll be a self-starter with a growth mindset, constantly looking for new opportunities to grow our customer base, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to ‘think big’ while paying careful attention to detail. The Marketing Manager for London & South UK will sit within the Hyperlocal Marketing team. The team is responsible for developing the strategy for how Deliveroo wins at a local and regional level. This includes identifying target audiences, commercial insights and consumer insights to develop highly relevant and engaging messaging across key cities. The team utilises these insights to support regional teams and develop local campaign toolkits, that they then execute tactically in key cities and neighbourhoods to unblock consumer barriers and win market share.Within the team there is the Marketing Director that is supported by the Senior Marketing Manager in leading the strategy, as well as Marketing Associates that are responsible for delivering activity in their individual focus regions and cities. This is a hybrid working role with 3 days per week in our London based office at The River Building, near Cannon Street Station.Roles & responsibilities:This role is London & South UK specific and will report directly into the Senior Marketing Manager (SMM). You will work collaboratively with the Regional Commercial Leads to evaluate the needs and hyperlocal opportunities within the city, developing strategies for how to win.You will identify which marketing levers need to be pulled (e.g. awareness of selection, occasions, or new missions such as grocery and retail) and develop a demand generation calendar that supports this. You will be comfortable working with complex data, customer & competitor insights to create and communicate simple consumer-led strategies for the regions. You will work cross-functionally with the SMM to align key stakeholders within the Marketing and Commercial teams, before executing against these plans. You will develop a variety of consumer focused, insight led activity across the full channel mix including (but not limited to) OOH, Digital, Direct Mail & CRM. In addition, you will develop briefs for sign-off by the SMM and Marketing Director, and will be responsible for delivering campaigns on-budget, optimising activity throughout and conducting a full post campaign analysis. To execute these plans, you will hyper-localise templated campaigns and work with stakeholders both internally (UK Marketing Team, Global Marketing channel owners, Global Design Studio, Commercial, Finance, Operations, Legal) and externally to implement across the marketing mix (media owners / local activation agencies). In addition, you will present learnings to the Hyperlocal team, wider Marketing team and Regional Commercial teams, helping to demonstrate the positive impact of hyperlocal activity whilst elevating the team profile.Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in marketing, commercial or agency roles executing targeted, insight driven marketing campaigns to deliver on commercial objectives.
  • Experience analysing data sets to evaluate campaigns and provide future recommendations.
  • Skilled at planning, organising, prioritising and executing simultaneous projects and activities at once.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, particularly commercial stakeholders, and are confident in presenting your ideas.
  • Self-starter attitude that’s comfortable with constant change and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have a proven track record in making things happen – delivering results quickly and efficiently.
