This is an exciting opportunity to join our enthusiastic team as an Immunisation Nurse working in a dynamic, energetic team delivering excellent standards of maternal immunisation programmes.In this post will work under the guidance of the Immunisation Team Lead Nurse as part of the Maternity TeamAt Whipps Cross Hospital we offer flexible and family friendly working hours. Looking forward to you joining our welcoming TeamMain duties of the jobTo contribute to the delivery of a high-quality public health programme for pregnant women & birthing people in Barts Health NHS Trust.To take a pregnant person centred, public health approach to improve health and tackle inequalities, specifically to raise the uptake of maternal immunisations across Barts Health NHS Trust and the local community.To support the planning, implementation and evaluation of the immunisation programme delivery for pregnant women/birthing people within Maternity Services within the required targets.To provide advice, information and promote the immunisation programme to pregnant women/birthing people,To provide support and education to midwives and other staff.To maintain and update electronic records and vaccine specific data bases.To discuss and promote awareness to expectant women/birthing people of the BCG vaccination for all eligible babiesAbout usBarts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers.The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation.
