Join Our Team as a Mechanical Fitter!Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for an exciting opportunity to grow in a dynamic environment? Join our team at Inchinnan Business Park, Renfrew, near Glasgow Airport, where we design and develop innovative machines. We’re expanding our fitting department and need talented individuals like you.About the Role:As a Mechanical Fitter, you will:

• Assemble Machine Parts: Install, maintain, and repair plants and equipment, creating production equipment and machinery from metals and other materials
• Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in your work
• Technical Skills: Read and follow technical drawings to build machine parts with minimal supervision
• Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic working environment and be flexible with working hours
• Initiative and Problem-Solving: Work independently, proactively solving problems and continuously learning and developing new skills
• Physical Fitness: Be physically fit to handle the demands of the job
• Overtime: Be willing to work overtime at short notice to meet business requirements

Work Location:

• Our machine shop is located in Inchinnan Business Park, Renfrew, beside Glasgow Airport

Work Pattern:

• Normal Hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 0745hrs to 1610hrs (10min paid tea break, 25min unpaid lunch break)
• Friday: 0745hrs to 1245hrs (10min paid tea break)
• Flexibility: You may be required to work day, night, or back shifts as needed

Benefits:

• Competitive Pay: £18.66/hr for 37 hours per week
• Overtime: Approximately 300 hours per year, paid at time and a half outside normal hours and double time on Saturdays after 12 noon and all day Sunday

In-situ Reserve:There is potential to support our in-situ machining squad during busy periods, offering higher pay and more hours.
