Endoscopy Center of Inland Empire is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to join our patient focused team. The Medical Assistant will greet and room patients, measure vital signs, provide educational materials to patients and families, enter data into patient charts, and ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies.Please note that the starting range for this position is between $22 to $26 per hour.Under the supervision of the RN, supports patient care by:

  • Providing clear explanations of procedures
  • Assisting in psychologically preparing patients for surgery
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, visitors, and the ASC healthcare team

Accesses and accurately records patient health information in the Center’s electronic health record (EHR), ensuring data integrity per ASC protocolsAssists patients with care and mobility needs throughout the ASC, supporting transitions between pre-op, operating, and post-op areasParticipates in emergency and resuscitative efforts as necessary, under the direction of the attending physician, anesthesia provider, and/or Center ManagerMonitors and records vital signs, promptly reporting any abnormalities to the RN to ensure patient safetyPerforms point-of-care blood glucose testing as directed by the RN and per the physician’s orderEnsures thorough and accurate documentation of all care activities in the medical record to support quality patient outcomes and regulatory complianceMaintains a sterile and organized work environment by cleaning and disinfecting reusable equipment in pre-op and post-op bays according to established policies and manufacturer guidelinesWhat We OfferAs a valued member of USPI, your health and well‑being are important to us.   • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and remain poised and professional when interacting with potentially hostile patients and family members.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.
  • Current certification in BLS.

Required Experience

  • High school education or equivalent, Medical Assistant.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or clinical setting.
  • Must be competent in the use of basic office equipment including computer, printer, telephone, and fax.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and remain poised and professional when interacting with potentially hostile patients and family members.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.
  • Current certification in BLS.
  • High school education or equivalent, Medical Assistant.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or clinical setting.

Expected salary

$22 – 26 per hour
