About the jobWe are currently seeking a Medical Assistant needed to room patients to exam rooms, perform initial assessments of vital signs, and assist providers with exams and other procedures. Your responsibilities will also include updating Electronic Medical Records (EMR), maintaining providers’ schedules, heavy phone triage, scheduling surgeries, facilitating patient care, and maintaining a clean work environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed.Job Responsibilities

• Room patients to exam rooms and perform initial assessment of patient’s vital signs.
• Update the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) with relevant information.
• Assist provider with patient exams and other in-office procedures.
• Updates and maintains providers’ daily office schedule
• Respond to patient telephone calls and document conversations in patient’s chart/phone triage.
• Heavy phone triage.
• Schedule patient surgeries.
• Facilitate patient care by assuring clinician’s orders are entered and follow-up occurs.
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• 4-5+ years of medical assisting experience.
• OBGYN and/or women’s health experience highly preferred (open to family care, peds, and/or other experience with heavy triage).
• National MA cert highly preferred (NCCT, AAMA, RMA, AMT, CMA, NHA).
• Graduate from an accredited medical assisting program required (will also accept a bachelors or associates depending on the MA’s years of experience).
• CPR Certification.
• EMR/EHR experience.
• Excellent customer service/patient care.
