Job Title: Optometric/Ophthalmic Medical AssistantSeeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant with experience in optometry or ophthalmology to accurately collect and document patient medical and ocular history using an electronic medical record system. Responsibilities include performing a range of administrative and clinical duties to optimize patient flow, and documenting various diagnostic tests as directed by physicians. These tests include Visual Acuity, Lensometry, Pupillary Assessment, Ocular Motility, Tonometry, Retinoscopy/Refractometry, Glare Testing, Topography, Color Vision, Dry Eye Testing, Pachymetry, Confrontation Visual Field Testing, OCT, ASCAN, and Automated Perimetry.Job Description:

• Accurately collect and document patient medical and ocular history in an electronic medical record.
• Perform other administrative and clinical duties as needed to optimize patient flow.
• Document a variety of diagnostic tests as directed by physician(s) to include Visual Acuity, Lensometry, Pupillary Assessment, Ocular Motility, Tonometry, Retinoscopy/Refractometry, Glare Testing, Topography, Color Vision, Amsler Grid, Stereopsis, Dry Eye Testing, Pachymetry, Confrontation Visual Field Testing, OCT, ASCAN and Automated Perimetry.

Qualifications:

• At least 6 months of current eye care or vision care experience
• At least 6 months of experience in optometry or ophthalmology
• Certifications: COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant), COMT, or COT Preferred
