Staffmax is assisting our client, an innovative specialty healthcare clinic at Surrey Memorial, in hiring a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) for a 2-month term with the potential for a permanent position.We are seeking a dedicated MOA to start immediately and become a key player in enhancing the patient experience at this cutting-edge clinic.Job Responsibilities:
As the MOA, you will be the first point of contact for patients, guiding them through their journey from referral and appointment scheduling to lab coordination and follow-ups. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Registering patients upon arrival and managing the flow to maintain clinic efficiency
• Organizing new patient appointments and follow-up visits
• Responding to patient inquiries
• Preparing patients for appointments, including measuring vital signs and updating patient charts
• Managing incoming documents from other practices and ensuring accurate documentation
• Coordinating follow-ups on labs, referrals, and additional patient care

About You:
You are a natural people person who thrives in a dynamic, team-based environment. You excel at problem-solving and can adapt quickly to changing situations.Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a Medical Office Assistant, preferably in a specialist office
• Proficiency in Accuro EMR
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with a passion for patient care
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Sound knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in a Certified Medical Office Administration Program or equivalent
