George Fox University’s College of Medical Science Physician Assistant (PA) Program is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Medical Director.About the Job:The Medical Director supports the Program Director in effective leadership and management in the PA program.George Fox University, a Christ-centered community, prepares students spiritually, academically, and professionally to think with clarity, act with integrity, and serve with passion. • Program duties include:

• Developing, reviewing, and revising as necessary the program mission statement, goals and competencies of the program.
• Actively participating in the development of the program graduate competencies to ensure they meet current practice standards as they relate to the PA role.
• Participating in program organization and administration.
• Participating in development, planning, and continuous program evaluation (review and analysis).
• Participating in accreditation activities.
• Participating in faculty development and coordination of activities.
• Participating in student recruitment and selection.
• Participating in clinical site development, retention, and ongoing monitoring.
• Participating in clinical site visits.
• General Education Duties include:

• Participating in the PA programs delivery of curriculum (student instruction).
• Participating in the evaluation of student performance.
• Participating in remedial Instruction when needed.
• Participating in designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the curriculum.
• As necessary, providing academic counseling and student tutoring.
• Other Duties:

• If desired, participating in clinical practice, scholarly activities, or advanced education.
• Additional duties as needed and assigned by the program director.
• Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
• By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
• Other duties as assigned.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• A current licensure as an allopathic or osteopathic physician and must be certified by an ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board.

• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.

Salary and rank:

• Appointment at the Assistant Professor level is anticipated, though candidates with significant teaching experience at previous institutions may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.

• Schedule: This is a part-time faculty position with full-time equivalent (FTE) to be determined at the time of hire based on departmental needs and course assignments.
