We have 14 divisions that work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary, multicultural, and ethnically diverse collegial environment.Position SummaryA Medical Education Program Coordinator is a strong Administrative Professional who supports the training of future physicians through developing, coordinating, and maintaining the support of medical education administration.Under the administrative supervision of the Team Lead of Medical Education, this position requires a collaborative, proactive individual capable of working autonomously in a team environment. In the Medical Education Business Unit team environment, we value administrative professionals who share knowledge and skills, contribute ideas, and provide recommendations for solutions. Supporting special projects, internal and external accreditation, events, workshops, and resident recruitment, the Coordinator raises the profile of Medical Education at the University of Alberta.The Medical Education Program Coordinator must have a detailed working knowledge of the requirements of their education programs and possess excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills. Flexibility and adaptability are important skills as the coordinator will take directions from multiple sources. The Coordinator also provides administrative support for the educational program technology platforms such as Canvas, webEval, and MedSis.
