To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.This is an opportunity for an individual to work as a Medical Laboratory Assistant in a busy department which provides a full range of clinical and diagnostic services to NHS Tayside and North-east Fife.The Blood Sciences Department is based on two sites at Ninewells Hospital, a large Teaching hospital and Medical School, Dundee and Perth Royal Infirmary, Perth.We are looking for a member of staff that can demonstrate initiative, flexibility and has the enthusiasm to train further. You will be working in a newly refurbished state of the art core laboratory with Siemens automation.We require someone to work in our Laboratory Specimen Reception area to pick up, receive and prepare patient samples for analysis. Basic computer skills are required and you will deal with telephone enquiries. You will also carry out general laboratory duties. Experience is not essential as full training will be provided. However, previous employment in a hospital environment is desirable.
