Salary: £76.92 – £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Part-time/ Full-timeStart Date: ImmediateGSL Education Bournemouth Branch are currently collaborating with an esteemed school in Eastleigh that is hiring a committed and experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join their team. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the emotional and psychological well-being of students, helping them navigate their educational journey with confidence and support.As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with mental health needs, working closely with teachers, parents and other support staff to provide a nurturing and understanding environment. Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

• Provide compassionate and targeted support to students experiencing mental health challenges, fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere.
• Implement one-on-one and small group interventions tailored to each student’s specific mental health needs.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring the inclusion and engagement of students with mental health needs.
• Employ effective strategies to manage crises and emotional outbursts, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
• Track and document student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of personalised support plans.
• Stay abreast of the latest educational practices and ASD strategies, engaging in continuous professional development.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Essentially have experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Experience in a school or educational setting is preferred.
• Have an excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Possess high degree of empathy, patience and understanding when dealing with students facing mental health issues.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)
• An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
