We have a passion for using technology to solve business problems, working in partnership with our clients to help in achieving their goals.As a Microsoft Business Intelligence Developer at Sword, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing BI solutions that ensure data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create data models, and develop reports and dashboards that empower users.This role can be undertaken on a remote basis with potential occasional travel to any of our offices across the UK.About the role:

  • Engage with Business Analysis and Product Management teams to design and develop use cases in Azure DevOps.
  • Translate the ADO use cases into designs.
  • Engage with Data Architecture and Data Engineering teams to develop the reports and analytics to agreed data and technical standards.
  • Prepare and analyse large datasets to deliver relevant insights.
  • Provide technical assistance with training and support for the new reports and analytics

Requirements

  • Experienced practitioner in the implementation of reports and analytics using the Microsoft platform, including; Azure, Fabric, Power BI, Azure DevOps.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of logical and physical data modelling concepts.
  • Knowledge of data transformation and analysis techniques.
  • Practical experience using an Agile delivery methodology.
  • Ability to analyse datasets to derive meaningful insight.
  • Ability to deliver innovative visualisations/reports within a business context and support the BI Business Analyst to communicate them to stakeholders.
