We are currently seeking a temporary full-time Business Support Specialist to cover maternity leave within the Marine & Offshore Support Team in the Fleet Services Department (FSD).The role requires providing high-level specialist support to the team, with the autonomy to manage workloads effectively in alignment with business needs. - The M&O Systems Support (MOSS) Team sits within Fleet Services (FSD) and supports all users of the following LR applications – MAST (Commercial and Protected), LR Class Direct / Client Portal and eCerts. These systems are vital to our clients, to enable them to access the most up-to-date information about their ships/fleets.
- This is an interesting role, engaging with internal and external clients and working with external suppliers.
- Provide first-line administrative and technical support for internal systems, resolving issues for both internal and external clients promptly. Troubleshoot and escalate incidents as necessary.
- Oversee account management processes for both internal and external clients for multiple systems, ensuring accurate data management and timely resolution of account-related queries.
- Maintain shared team mailboxes, ensuring that all incoming queries are responded to in a professional and timely manner and that unresolved issues are escalated appropriately.
- Use internal ticketing systems to log, manage, and resolve tickets related to system issues, escalating complex matters when required.
- Create weekly, and monthly reports and provide ad hoc reports upon request.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders, addressing complex queries and resolving service-related problems effectively.
- Review existing workflows and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and take the initiative to implement new processes to meet business objectives.
- Undertake any additional duties as may be requested by the Team Leader/Senior Business Support Specialist.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in line with internal procedures, contractual requirements, cost structures, and budget constraints.
What you will bring:
- Educated to A level standard or equivalent.
- PC literate, specifically, proficient in MS Office.
- Proven experience in providing administrative and technical support in a business environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple mailboxes and prioritise tasks.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of systems used within the organisation such as ServiceNow, Salesforce etc is desirable.
