- Two separate and independent Multi-purpose Dynamic Simulator (MPDS) will be required.
- The MPDS are used to train and develop the skills of control room operators, which contributes to safe, reliable, and compliant operations for the businesses. The MPDS will also be used as a verification tool to test control, safety logic, various operating scenarios and help to identify any system constraints.
Work scope
- Verify individual MPDS (process model, ICSS logic) developed by contractor – ensuring that each MPDS is delivered to the project specification and in compliance with PCCI and HPC contracts and project selected codes and standards.
- Ensure PCC contractor receives the required input from the client and offshore contractors to build the high-fidelity process model and control and safety logic.
- Support codes and standards deviations as they arise.
- Support response to technical queries raised by the various contractors relating to the MPDSs
- Able to operate the MPDS and run simulation cases as defined by the client project team, independent of the PCC contractor
- Work with the Process and Flow Assurance teams to develop cases that will be tested on the simulator that are defined within the contract documents and/or others that arise during design development.
- Support the Commissioning teams to test commissioning procedures before executing actual test of physical equipment.
- Support the Operations team to develop operator training scenarios.
- Support discussions and presentations with partners and other stakeholders when addressing how the project have engineered key operating and control scenarios
- Collaborate with internal and external experts to bring learnings to help solve and develop a high-fidelity MPDS.

- Degree in relevant Engineering discipline
- Ideally Chartered and member of a professional body
- Refining, petrochemical, or manufacturing Process Control engineering experience.
- Significant experience in project and support of ICSS/automation systems
- Deep understanding of system integration and modern IT architecture design
- Pragmatic decision maker, willing to challenge and ensure engineering value is delivered
- Must be computer literate with advanced level of experience in use of office and technical software
- Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal
Ideally
- Good understanding of process modelling software such as UniSim, OLGA
- Experience in building or maintaining Operator Training Simulators
- Experience in managing engineering projects involving multiple software packages from different vendors
