Do you consider yourself a Strategic Practioner and lifelong learner in eCommerce Marketplaces? The Marketplace/Amazon Manager will be directly responsible for the execution of the strategic growth plan of Wilton’s Pure Play customers, including but not limited to Amazon. Reporting directly to the VP Sales – North America and eCommerce, you will have P&L responsibility and direct ownership of the Pureplay/Marketplace marketing and sales budget. This includes the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies, management of buyer relationships, joint business planning, retailer media and trade promotion management, and full-funnel analytics.The position requires a leader with deep understanding and demonstrated success in eCommerce sales and marketing, particularly in the dynamic emerging retailer media landscape. You will execute with a ‘champion-of-the-business’ mindset and maximize channel performance by continuously optimizing across marketing, merchandising, operations, and portfolio levers. You will also play an integral role in inspiring a high-performance culture as well as enabling the Wilton Brands vision, mission & values across the company.Essential Responsibilities

  • Spearhead business planning for the Pure Play/Marketplace customer channel, delivering on growth and profitability goals.
  • Foster relationships with all Pure Play Account Buyers, ensuring Wilton is seen as the leading brand partner in baking and cake decorating.
  • Lead JBPs, line reviews, and all other customer touchpoints.
  • Continuously steer the development of accurate sales forecasts based on customer knowledge.
  • Lead the creation of annual budget based on sales plan and manage spending to budget year-round .
  • Ensure all SKUs are Page 1 ranked, with best-in-class PDP scores, ratings & reviews, effective SEO, and A+ content.
  • Own the execution of the channel growth plan including trade spend, merchandising, and marketing strategies.
  • Leverage sales data, insights & analytics, daily performance metrics, and other available data sets to optimize product assortment and merchandising efforts to flex budget for maximum ROI.
  • Develop and manage on-platform test & learn procedures to grow sales and market share leadership, with measurable and actionable KPIs, and ensure scaling of winning methodologies to all products.
  • Monitor traffic, conversion, frequency, and basket KPIs weekly and oversee optimization of content to positively impact metrics and deliver team goals.
  • Develop and maintain customer portfolio strategy and eCommerce toolkit (BDPs, guides, how-tos) and as needed, present insights to the marketing and creative team.
  • Combine best-in-class industry, competitive landscape, and market trend knowledge with account-specific insights to uncover and recommend additional revenue growth opportunities.
  • Manage outside vendors/service providers (e.g., content, search, and ad agencies).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or comparable field required.
  • 5+ years of eCommerce merchandising/sales/account management experience.
  • Past experience working with Amazon highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce advertising, merchandising tools, digital platforms, retail media, content optimization, and retailer strategy.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with external agencies and cross-functional teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Thorough technical and operational understanding of Amazon platform.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, digital merchandising, and best practices, including those related to retail management and digital marketing; previous experience with eCommerce operations is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer relationship skills, including strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and analytical skills, including ability to make strategic decisions based on findings; past experience managing budgets a plus.
  • Effective project management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and strong sense of urgency to manage multiple competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines and driving results.
  • Expert ability to balance and appropriately prioritize operational efficiency, data analysis and various cross-functional teams’ input.
  • Familiarity with Baking & Cake Decorating categories always a plus!
