Core Responsibilities
You will be key to delivering the LEGO Group’s GHG reduction strategy, including through our use of energy. You will also play a key role in delivering against our overall decarbonisation roadmap, working with colleagues across the business to shape carbon budgets and analyse GHG reduction levers, building strong and trusted relationships.
Working together with experts across the operational parts of our business, in particular you will co-develop our energy decarbonisation strategy, using your strong engagement and data analysis skills.
Furthermore, you will:
Develop and lead engagement on decarbonisation strategy and analysis for all our factories, offices & hubs, and stores, working with our Sustainable Operations team to support its delivery
Help ensure that, where we rely on instruments like Power Purchase Agreements and Renewable Energy Certificates to deliver carbon reduction, these are of market-leading quality and supported by robust data, working with our Sustainable Operations team, climate reporting manager, and others
Support groundbreaking analysis for the development, delivery and review of our roadmap to meet our 2032 Science Based Target and 2050 Net Zero target
Co-create insights alongside business units, supporting / reviewing their analysis
Analyse GHG and related financial data to identify strategic insights and develop carbon budgets.
Play your part in our team succeeding
We lead the development and delivery of the LEGO Group’s GHG reduction strategy and climate transition plan. Working with internal and external entities, we enable the delivery and tracking of action towards our 2032 ‘Science Based Target’ (SBT) and 2050 Net Zero Target. We also produce our GHG Inventory, and deliver all non-compliance reporting, including the Carbon Disclosure Project, SBT, and various customer reports.
Do you have what it takes?
You will have an engineering, science, economics or similar background, with technical experience of GHG analysis and energy strategy and management.
In addition:
Experience in GHG foot-printing and energy management, impact assessment and/or LCA
Experience of convening and leading diverse collaborators to develop strategy, building positive relationships to manage trade-offs
Experience of working with environmental attribution certificates such as Power Purchase Agreements and Renewable Energy Certificates
Experience building data models, using statistical analysis, primary and secondary data, and relevant software
Ability to manage your time between parallel projects, whilst ensuring key outputs are delivered to time and quality
Ability to insert yourself in project teams, identifying the most salient questions that require your climate analysis competences
Python and / or R coding capabilities an advantage
