You can be part of helping us make a difference!To find out more about our work visit: .Role ResponsibilitiesCalling all LPN’s:Do you like to travel and make a difference in the lives of Youths, if this sounds like you, keep reading!We are hiring a Mobile Licensed Practical Nurse to work in 24/7 Provincial Campus Based Care Centres across Alberta. Reporting to the Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible to provide nursing and residential support services for in-care youths ages 12 – 17 with complex needs. This is a mobile position based out of Edmonton with a 60% travel expectations to all other Provincial Campus Based Care sites in Lethbridge, Lac La Biche and Medicine Hat.In this role you will be responsible for;

• Responsible for ensuring effective service delivery by planning, implementation of nursing/health services
• Participate in nursing assessments/interventions, care planning, implementing prescribed treatments, administering medications, evaluating treatment and monitoring/documenting treatment progress
• Monitoring and creating an atmosphere for the youth based on trauma informed practice standards
• Act as advocate to enhance the quality of life to youths residing at PCBC
• Liaising with parents, guardians, caseworkers and other service providers
• Collaborating with Child Intervention Practitioner, Child and Youth Care Counsellors, Therapists, Addictions Counsellors, Indigenous Specialists and all other leadership at Provincial Campus Based Care sites.
• Required to be on call on a rotational basis

QualificationsMinimum Recruitment Standard

• Degree or Diploma in Nursing and registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurse of Alberta (CLPNA) and in good standing.

Preference will be given to those who have;

• Experience working with and treating youth
• Mental Health treatment experience
• Experience with Addictions
• Crisis driven care and trauma informed practice

• Registered with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.
• Possessing a valid, full (Non-GDL) Alberta Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• The ability to travel within the Province is required.

• Undergo an academic verification check,

• Be required to obtain and provide an Intervention Record check (IRC), and,
