We hold a ‘Gold Investor in People’ award for continuously developing and rewarding our employees, offering excellent career potential.Purpose of the roleColas Ltd. have a great opportunity for an Office Assistant to join the Damaged Network Property (DNP) team for Area 9 based at our Coleshill depot, B46 3HN The DNP Office Assistant will be responsible for leasing with all teams to ensure DNP paperwork is correct and contains the relevant information required for all DNP jobs to be final accounted. This will involve working closely with the operation team, the Zonal Response crews and the commercial team to provide all information associated with damage to network property to support National Highways with cost recovery.Main ResponsibilitiesAs an Office Assistant your duties will include but not be limited to the following: overseeing DNP paperwork processes from operations, and ZRT crews for your respective depot, you will liaise with Operations, ZRT Crews, Planning, Commercial and subcontractors to collate information for DNP works and you will ensure all paperwork is collated, correct, and organised effectively to aid the final accounting of DNP works. You will assist the DNP team with queries around the paperwork provided and liaise with the respective teams to resolve these issues and to analyse and check the accuracy of DNP paperwork being provided including daily time costing sheets and to liaise with the relevant teams to resolve any issues that arise. You will provide accurate and timely commercial reports and advise management on outstanding work or problems. You will ensure compliance with Colas’ governance, policies, and procedures.Ensure all activities are undertaken with due regard for the environment, to prevent pollution, comply with legal and corporate requirements and minimise environmental impact.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a minimum A-C in English and Maths. You have excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and be able to manage stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and forward-thinking individual with strong organisational skills and good attention to detail who has previous experience of working within high performing teams. It is essential you you have an advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite (in particular excel) and preferably Microsoft. You will need to be able to get to the depot, a driving licence is desirable.Package DescriptionHere at Colas, we offer a great total compensation package, including:

  • An salary from £23,800 – £26,000 (dependent on experience)
