We’re fun, quirky, humble, ambitious, and passionate.It’s an exciting time of growth for FLOX – and we’re looking for like-minded people to join the team.💼 About the RoleWe are looking for an Operations Associate to join the team and drive our agritech product forward towards full scale commercialisation. You will be part of a small team and work with the Operations Lead to manage both the business operations and the commercial rollout of our technology to poultry farms in the UK.Beyond any specific experience or academic qualifications, what is most important for this role is to be willing to throw yourself into a new industry and a new technology with energy and purpose. This is a generalist role where no task is too small, and you will be able to own and run your ideas and see them come to fruition.This role is hands-on and based in our offices in Hackney (E8). It also includes frequent travel to our clients’ farms to oversee the teams running the installations, although you can WFH as and when needed.We’re a growing start-up with plenty of room for progression and making the role your own. Occasionally, and in line with your strengths and interests, you may be asked to work outside your job description.🔥 Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role you’ll be working alongside the Operations Lead and you will be responsible for:Business Operations & HR

  • Support the Operations Lead in managing the day to day of the business;
  • Support with hiring and onboarding;
  • Improve and input in our internal processes and systems;
  • Co-ideate process innovation and research to support continuous learning;
  • Manage socials and events, including occasional offsites and team gatherings;
  • Collaborate with our CFO for admin and invoicing;
  • Manage the premises (we just moved!), including designing our new space and keeping the fridge stocked.

Project Management & Customer Success

  • Work closely with the Leadership Team and particularly the CTO and Operations lead to ensure our business and installation processes are continuously improving as we scale;
  • Co-own the planning, budgeting, delivering and learning (including holding retrospectives) of our installations at poultry farms (paid business travel within UK);
  • Procurement and stock management (local storage room);
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our users and customers (farm managers, suppliers, maintenance team) to ensure our product is running smoothly;
  • Collaborate with our developers to ensure our installations go smoothly – we run on short / hard deadlines to install so communication is key!
  • Own the process of supporting our product maintenance together with our tech team and maintenance team;

  • 3+ years of previous hands on experience in a similar generalist / coordination role
  • Proven track record of running multiple processes / workstreams to a high standard – a jack of all trades
  • High energy and calm under pressure
  • Confident to run things without supervision or direction – we love ownership mindset
  • Passionate about finding solutions to complex problems – a structured thinker that can break down any challenge
  • Competency with office software such as Google Suite, Slack, etc.
  • Notion nerd 🤓
  • Great communication skills – we have a lot of different stakeholders
  • London based and able to come in the office a few days a week (flexible)
  • Willingness to travel to our farms when required (on average a few days per month)

  • [desirable] Previous start-up experience is a bonus
