This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.Job DescriptionThe Operations Associate is responsible for controlling freight forwarding shipments into and out of the station across various modes of transportation based on customer requests. The primary focus is providing a high-level operations excellence and a quality customer service experience to all customers while maintaining station KPI’s.Essential Functions:Tracking and tracing outbound shipmentsInspecting Inbound/outbound freightCoordinating recover and delivery schedules with various cartage agentsContracting new carriers as needed and assigning carriers and providing load tendersDevelop collaborative carrier relationshipsPreparing paperwork for routing, closing out files, and sending documentation out on a timely basisCommunicating freight status and any problems to other stations and customers, and updating the systemCommunicating to dispatch for customers’ requested pick-upsAdhere to TSA /KSMS and other government regulatory compliance standards with regards to booking and routing of all shipmentsData entry of shipments into transportation management systemQuoting, costing and invoicing of international shipments, air, ocean and groundOther duties as assignedSKILLS/COMPETENCIES:Multi-tasking while maintaining precise attention to detailNegotiating abilities and able to close independently from management oversightMust have a financial acumen and experience with invoicing and payablesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to type 35+ words per minuteMust be able to work in demanding, high-volume environment, particularly with email and callsPrecise attention to detailProficient in Microsoft OfficeMust be tech savvyEDUCATION:High school diploma or equivalent is requiredCompany Benefits:MedicalDentalVision401k + Company MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid Time OffFlexible Work Schedules (when possible)And more!Pay Range:$22 to $30 an Hour*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position.
