Job description

We’re seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to assist in leading our warehouse operations and drive performance at our Winnipeg Plumbing Branch location.What you will do:

  • Overseeing administrative and warehouse functions of the branch in a manner that optimizes productivity, workflow and accuracy
  • Ensuring respective areas operate in a safe, and secure manner, ensuring compliance to company policy
  • Providing day-to-day leadership and direction to direct reports by communicating job expectations and providing feedback and coaching
  • Collaborating with the Branch Manager and Warehouse Supervisor to ensure the warehouse team is adequately staffed and strategically deployed to meet fluctuating service requirements
  • Recruiting, hiring, and orienting staff using company guidelines and resources
  • Communicating company policies, procedures, and best practices to the warehouse team
  • Leading by example, demonstrating excellence in customer service and cultivating an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork in providing customer service
  • Ensuring staff are being continually trained in skills required to perform their job duties
  • Continually auditing and improving customer service standards and procedures
  • Holding regular staff meetings to build team and foster internal communication
  • Ensuring direct reports follow company policies and procedures
  • Overseeing administrative staff to ensure that all tasks are completed as per branch policies and procedures
  • Assisting in month-end and year-end processes
  • Creating and analyzing a variety of sales and inventory reports
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety and health policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

About you:

  • Previous Management or Supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in providing customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and problem solve collaboratively
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus and lead a team
  • Able to foster collaborative relationships between departments
  • Superior product knowledge and good understanding of Eclipse system
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to plan and prioritize
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
