About Integrated Land Management (ILM):
ILM is working at the forefront of the Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) market, specialising in the creation of Biodiversity Gain sites and the sale of BNG units.
We work with developers to help them achieve their BNG offsetting requirements, delivering offsite biodiversity units.
We work with Landowners to turn their Natural Capital into a sustainable, reliable, and resilient income. We assess their land’s potential biodiversity uplift to create biodiversity gain sites, execute biodiversity plans and sell the resulting units to developers looking to offset their BNG requirements.
ILM is entering a period of growth with further recruitments this year to manage the expansion of the business in a growing market.
Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with our clients and ecologists to assess and design all our BNG schemes and the phasing of the schemes thereafter. The position requires an understanding of Biodiversity legislation under the Environment Act (2021), a deep understanding of the Statutory Metric and an understanding of the BNG process from initial ecology surveys through to completion of Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans.
The successful candidate will be working with developers by interpreting their metric and matching up with our available units that we can sell therefore a detailed understanding of the planning system is critical.
The role will suit someone who is prepared to work as part of a small but growing team, operating with their own initiative to assist with that growth during an exciting time for ILM.
