JOIN USThe Operations Supervisor is responsible for the management, commitment and development of the team under their responsibility, to ensure the achievement of objectives in terms of service levels, quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction in the fields. Through their management and supervisory actions, they ensure that the team works optimally and safely, in compliance with the standards and procedures in place, and in the context of continuous improvement. In addition, the person will have to develop their knowledge to broaden the range of our services in industrial environments.WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLECustomer Relationship and Quality Management

  • Maintain a healthy and positive business relationship as well as an adequate level of communication with our customers throughout our mandates with them.
  • Work closely with the Business Unit Director, the sales group, project managers and our customers to meet the needs of all parties with the services of their team.
  • Validate the level of satisfaction of our customers with the performance of their team and disseminate this feedback to reinforce the positive points and take action on areas for improvement.
  • Work with the sales team to evaluate mandates and provide expertise for quote preparation.
  • Ensure the renewal of annual support contracts and promote benefits to customers without support contracts.
  • Conduct customer meetings to assess satisfaction levels and explore the possibility of expanding the scope of reliability services.

Team Development and Engagement

  • Actively participate in the recruitment and selection process with our Talent Acquisition team.
  • Welcome and integrate new employees under their responsibility.
  • Ensure the coaching and development of competency plans for employees under their responsibility.
  • Ensure that health and safety and other Laurentide Controls policies are known and properly applied by team members.
  • Carry out performance reviews and follow-ups of team members according to established deadlines and objectives.
  • Identify and promote the emergence of future leaders while planning their own succession to maintain enough seniors to mentor newcomers.

Operational Management and Administrative Support

  • Participate in the development of objectives and ensure their implementation.
  • Deliver an adequate response to tooling and PPE needs so that the team has everything it needs to carry out mandates efficiently and safely.
  • In connection with planning, assess current and future workloads with a view to forecasting the use and/or hiring of human resources.
  • Manage absence schedules (vacations, time banks and miscellaneous leaves) to maintain service levels in line with customer needs.
  • Review, validate and approve expense accounts and time sheets of employees.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Degree or diploma in Chemical Engineering, process automation or related field
  • OIQ membership (asset)
  • French written and spoken (required)
  • English written and spoken would be considered an asset
  • Strong Leadership ability
  • Ability to generate performance
  • Must be solution-minded, analytical and creative to work towards continuous improvement
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of process control
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
