  • This position is a hybrid environment; with a combo of remote and on-client site required.

ROLE OVERVIEW:We are hiring experienced Oracle-certified consultants to join our Western Canadian Consulting team. Preferred candidates will have functional architecture and design skills along with experience implementing customer, metering, and billing solutions for utility (electric + gas) customers. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills with Oracle Customer Cloud Service (CCS): a full customer-to-meter solution.This role will provide expertise around Reporting / Report generation for a client CCS implementation. In this role, you will work with client business leads and system integrators to ensure there is quality data and system information and processes in place for robust and business critical report generation.**Some work may be able to be done remotely.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESYou will be required to support hands‐on activities in the following areas:

  • Design, develop, test and implement reporting solutions using Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements, customize templates and troubleshoot issues
  • Identify and test viable solutions to issues identified
  • Participate in quality management reviews to ensure adherence to all quality management plans and standards
  • Maintain record of test results and discrepancies using designated QA tools
  • Support the Test Lead to ensure tactical quality assurance
  • Assist business users to perform user Acceptance Testing
  • Validate test results and address quality issues
  • Knowledge Transfer: develop and / or enhance instructions or job aids as needed and through ‘on the job’ involvement

QualificationsWe are looking for an experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, and multiple business processes or technology designs within the Oracle product/technology family. You will operate independently to provide quality work products to the client, performing varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment.You must have the following:

  • 5 years overall relevant professional experience, including 5 years in consulting or with a systems integrator
  • Proficiency in Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • Utility industry experience is required, either as a full-time employee or a billable consultant
  • Experience with Customer Information System (CIS) or Meter Data Management (MDM) design, functional architecture, and/or support experience on multiple full lifecycle implementations
  • SQL and Oracle analytics proficiency
  • Oracle CCS and/or C2M certification is mandatory
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with team members and clients
  • For this opportunity, candidates must be based in Canada (ideally in Calgary or Edmonton) and have the ability to travel within Alberta as needed.
