Candidate profile (text) – Default language We are looking to welcome a Fulfillment Operations Co-Worker to join our amazing Fulfilment Team.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting a smooth and pleasant customer shopping experience. Whether you are working face to face with customers in the Store Warehouse or behind the scenes in our external warehouse, it is your job to ensure customers leave the store with what they came for.

Expected Starting Date: 7th November 2024

WHAT WE OFFER

  • This role offers a basic hourly rate of £12.00
  • IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer.

CONTRACTS

  • Part Time: 24 hours per week working 4 days over 7, including late evenings and 3 out of 4 weekends.
  • Part Time: 12 hours per week working 2 days over 7, weekend only, this will require you to work a 6 hour shift on both Saturday and Sunday each week.

The operational hours for this area are 4am until 6:30pm so we are looking for someone who is available to work between these hours.

Please be aware that the IKEA Store is located outside of the city and links by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

  • You are comfortable using computers and handheld devices to support with the picking/filling of stock or to answer customer questions.
  • You proactively look for tasks to be done and use your initiative to complete them in an efficient and effective manner.
  • You have an adaptable mindset allowing you to switch between different tasks/areas and work within tight timeframes.
  • You work with guidance from your manager to achieve set goals in agreed timeframes using standard ways of working.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • You ensure products are available to customers by ensuring tasks in your area are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the IKEA Health, Safety & Security Rules & Regulations in your area.
  • You work to ensure the efficiency of the fulfilment operation by working in simple, cost-conscious ways, developing, and sharing good examples of ways of working.
  • You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
