UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office is seeking an individual consultant to support and develop mapping of priority areas of work or thematic focuses of the ASEAN sectoral bodies and matching their interests to UNICEF’s programmatic work and interests in EAPR. Based on that mapping, the entry points of engaging with the ASEAN sectoral bodies and focal points to further explore new strategic and catalytic partnership opportunities can be identified. Also, she/he will help developing mapping of priority areas and key interventions per sector/theme related to children’s well-being and rights to guide the engagement of UNICEF in EAPRO with the ASEAN Secretariat. Developing a preliminary UNICEF’s communications/advocacy plan for the ASEAN engagement – with a close collaboration with EAPRO communication section is another major duty of the consultant. The consultant will also support to strengthen the contributions of UNICEF’s to the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. ASEAN Partnership Consultant is placed within the Office of Regional Director of the UNICEF EAPRO, reporting to the Partnerships Manager and closely working with the Partnership Specialist on a daily basis

Qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Experience in engaging with the regional or intergovernmental organizations (especially ASEAN)
  • Knowledge of work of ASEAN Secretariat
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience at national and international levels in public partnership in general
  • Organizational, analytic, interpersonal and communications skills
