Kraken Tech is at the forefront of the energy transition and developing the technology and products to meet the challenges of decarbonisation. Kraken is licensing their SmartFlex product that optimises customers’ home devices (e.g. EVs, Batteries) and provides discounts for allowing their electricity supplier to charge them at greener times. The SmartFlex product is powering a number of smart control products with energy retailers across the UK and worldwide.A key part to enabling all of this is partnering with a range of low carbon technology manufacturers across the globe. We’re looking for a Partnerships Manager to help grow our partnerships – both partnering with new manufacturers as well as furthering the work with our existing partners. You’ll be a key member of the team responsible for making sure we deliver value for our partners, our clients and their customers.What you’ll do

  • Help to define and evolve our partnership strategy, supporting with partner outreach across global markets and low carbon technology types.
  • Manage inbound partnership enquiries and new partner pipeline, including providing partner feedback on internal cross-team requirements.
  • Take part in commercial and legal negotiations with prospective partners and lead on putting in place commercial partnership agreements.
  • Facilitate early engagement between Kraken technical teams and partners, surfacing implementation concerns early and helping to drive standardisation in approach
  • Provide commercial insights and input into the integrations product roadmap, joining regular cross-team ceremonies and providing input on the partnerships pipeline.
  • Work closely with and support the sales team to understand prospective client needs and provide insight into existing and planned partnerships.
  • Effectively articulate commercial decisions to internal product and integrations teams.
  • Closely collaborate with and support the internal technical and delivery teams during partner onboarding, liaising with the manufacturer to ensure they deliver on all requirements.
  • Provide partners with regular updates on integration timelines during onboarding.
  • Maintain regular touchpoints and contract management with existing partners.
  • Communicate product roadmaps and feature requests to existing partners, liaising with internal cross-functional teams to understand any pain-points or improvements.
  • Maintain a close relationship with Kraken clients to understand their partnership needs, synthesise against existing or prospective partner capabilities, and put forward recommendations .
  • Develop and maintain externally facing documentation on our existing partner ecosystem for Kraken global clients.
  • Working with Kraken global clients to ensure any partner contractual conditions are understood and adhered to.

What you’ll need

  • Great at building and maintaining relationships – internally and externally.
  • Experience engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders concurrently.
  • Willingness to work flexibly across international time zones.
  • Commercial experience working with external partners and clients.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage and report to senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, changing environment with an ability to manage multiple tasks to competing deadlines
  • Able to travel to visit international partners
  • Ideally have experience in the software and energy sector
