• Prepare and create a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to the hotel’s menu.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen at all times.
• Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to develop new dessert recipes and menus.
• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary while minimizing waste.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in pastry preparation and cooking techniques.
• Present desserts and pastries in an appealing manner to enhance guest experience.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in pastry and dessert-making to innovate and improve offerings.
• Assist in the overall management of the pastry section, ensuring timely and efficient service.

Essential Qualifications:

• Professional qualification in pastry arts, culinary arts or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Creativity and passion for pastry making.

Desired Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Proven track record of creating high-quality pastries and desserts.
• Experience in training and mentoring kitchen staff is a plus.
