Job DescriptionJob ID#:4237Job Category:LegalWe are recruiting for a Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join our client’s patent prosecution team, utilizing expertise in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science to help protect clients’ technological innovations. The role is available across various office locations, with a preference for New York City or Washington, D.C.Responsibilities of the Patent Agent will include:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Support due diligence activities related to patent prosecution.
• Leverage technical expertise in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science to assist clients in protecting their technology.
• Manage and meet internal and client-driven deadlines, handling assignments from multiple partners and clients.
• Maintain strong attention to detail, writing skills, and analytical capabilities while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job RequirementsQualifications of the Patent Agent:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Registered to practice before the USPTO and Patent Bar eligible; licensed to practice law in the respective state if applicable.
• At least 2-4 years of experience in patent prosecution.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle assignments from multiple partners and clients.
• Excellent attention to detail, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a dynamic environment.
