Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Markham, ON.The People Business Partner will play a key role in enabling leaders to manage their talent effectively and will act as consultant and business partner to assigned client groups. Working collaboratively and utilizing a client-focused approach, the People Business Partner will contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery to the business. The People Business Partner will also support the implementation of other critical people initiatives to drive and support profitable business growth and operate in alignment with the company values, the initiatives of the business region and the Centers of Excellence. This position has an in-office requirement of 4 days per week at the Worley Markham office. The position may also require occasional travel to our other Canada East offices (Oakville, Sarnia, Pickering or Sudbury).Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a business partner, subject matter expert, advisor and coach regarding business decisions including:
  • Workforce planning and talent acquisition
  • Mobility
  • HR Policy application and interpretation
  • Diversity, equality & inclusion
  • Remuneration and reward
  • Organizational
  • Talent management, succession planning, retention, engagement
  • Employee relations, legal issues, etc.
  • Ready, Response and Recover (R3) support
  • Manages life-cycle of employment from onboarding to exits.
  • Establish base salaries for new hires and promotions using market data and established compensation strategy.
  • Participate in the implementation of organization-wide programs and initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain and recommend changes to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Participate in the annual performance management process, and providing training as necessary.
  • Maintain and foster business relationships to enable collaboration with all levels of the organization ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Act as a true business partner to our Business Leaders and Stakeholders, providing relevant and timely coaching and advice, challenging and influencing behaviors and acting as a business ally.
  • Work with leaders to encourage and foster a high performing culture.
  • Implement and maintain Human Resources and Employee Relations policies and processes as required.
  • Ensuring client satisfaction through responsiveness, follow-up, and thorough communications.

QualificationsWhat you will bring:Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Experience as an HR Advisor, HRBP, or similar role within a Human Resources Department.
  • Previous experience working in a Shared Services model would be an asset.
  • CHRP (Certified Human Resource Professional) designation would be an asset.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC/EPCM) project environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients at all levels of the organization and influence decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:Required:

  • University Degree or completion of a Human Resources Management diploma or degree is required.
