Joining the UK and Ireland People Services team as People Services Team Leader, you will manage and mentor a team of 6 colleagues, who make up our wonderful HR Services, Recruitment Services and TUI Musement UK Hiring teams and are integral to the UK&I HR Operations function. These teams carry out a number of key activities, from providing HR policy advice and guidance, to ensuring TUI has efficient and compliant HR administration, employment contract and hiring processes.With ambitious projects throughout 2024 and 2025, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the HR Policy & Projects Manager to map out changes to existing processes and how new activities can be incorporated within People Services. You will then support in delivering these changes.At TUI we believe that work is something you do not somewhere you go and we’re pleased to offer a hybrid working arrangement for this role. It will have an office base in Crawley or Luton, where you can work alongside colleagues in the office as many days a week as you like. For the purposes of collaboration and catch ups, working from the office at least once a week would be expected. Travel to the other office is necessary about once a month.The role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract, with an approximate salary range of £30,000-£34,000.The closing date for applications will be 31st AugustPlease apply as soon as possible, as we expect a high volume of applications for this role. This may lead us to close the vacancy before the application closing date.ABOUT THE JOB

  • Lead the teams through regular 1-2-1s and coaching, acting as the first point of contact for queries from the team.
  • Help them to plan and manage their busy day-to-day workload.
  • Support our HR Services team to answer a wide variety of HR queries in the HR Services inbox, including first level HR policy and sickness absence advice. You will also help them to manage our transactional HR processes including IR35, Right to Work in the UK, DSARs and Driver Risk checks, ensuring these processes are efficient and compliant.
  • Lead the Recruitment Services team to deliver efficient and accurate recruitment admin support, which includes overseeing the management of email inboxes which receive external and internal queries, posting vacancies, producing job offers and imposter check reports, and the issuing of contracts and employee documentation.
  • Support the TUI Musement Hiring Coordinator to navigate complex hiring processes and ensure we hire and contract our posted colleagues in line with compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our processes and the best way to work with our internal stakeholders, which includes business Leaders, Talent Acquisition Specialists, Senior HR Advisors and Global Mobility Advisors.
  • Provide cover for your team’s activities during peak periods, absence or holiday.

ABOUT YOU

  • A recognised HR qualification or relevant experience.
  • The proven ability to design/evaluate processes, making recommendations and implementing improvements.
  • Experience of managing a team within an HR environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and experience in providing advice to internal colleagues.
  • Ability to review and prioritise work, identifying and escalating compliance or risk concerns.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on a strong customer service ethos.
  • Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office and prior knowledge of HR systems.
  • A love for detail and understanding complex processes
