What is the role?

At pawaPay, our People and Talent team is on a mission to enable our employees to do the best work of their careers. As a People & Talent Coordinator, you will gain hands-on experience across all stages of the employee lifecycle, with a primary focus on supporting talent acquisition across Europe and Africa.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment, enjoys building strong relationships, and has a keen eye for detail. You will also have an interest in people platforms, automations, and embedding scalable processes to improve efficiency.

You will play a key role in supporting our full 360° talent process—from attraction to offer—while also managing our new ATS, Greenhouse. This includes ensuring a seamless candidate experience, helping managers upskill in using Greenhouse, and updating learning materials related to talent and people operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure our people processes run smoothly.

Your main duties will include:

  • Support the People & Talent Partner in attracting and shortlisting top-tier candidates while ensuring a great candidate experience
  • Manage our open vacancies and oversee selection stages using Greenhouse
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including tracking and improving the 30, 60, and 90-day experience
  • Work alongside the People Ops team to implement our people roadmap and integrate our platforms effectively
  • Oversee general people operations tasks, such as contract management, pre-onboarding, knowledge sharing (via our internal Wiki), and coordinating weekly stand-ups
  • Maintain and update people platforms, ensuring accuracy and value in our systems
  • Support and enhance our fully remote work environment and uphold our values-driven company culture
  • Contribute to creating the best possible workplace experience, ensuring our people have everything they need to succeed.

You are a perfect fit if you have:

  • 2+ years experience in an HR / Recruitment specialist position or equivalent skill-based role working closely with internal and external stakeholders and candidates
  • Hands-on experience in hiring, onboarding, employee engagement, and performance management
  • Familiarity with ATS and People Experience Platforms ( ideally, but not necessarily CultureAmp, Greenhouse, HiBob, Pave, and Confluence)
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and being able to prioritise effectively – you will be empowered to manage your own workload
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with a clear and professional communication style.  Ability to speak French and/or Estonian a plus!
  • A can do mindset: willingness to take initiative, adapt to change, and work independently.  A mindset for continuous improvement and a focus on delivering outcomes that positively impact our teams
  • Experience collaborating with internationally distributed and remote teams
  • Passion for the People profession and a desire to enhance the employee experience in a growing company
  • Interest in pursuing professional qualifications in People & Talent (these may even be underway).
