Main duties of the jobAs a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you’ll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, to help us deliver the high quality care and service we’re known for. Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you’ll help implement action plans that make sure our resident’s needs are met. Taking on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, you can expect to help with everything from care standards to motivating your team. You will then be required to support at our other locations from time to time within the region: Uckfield, Shoreham on sea, Henfield and Wadhurst. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important too, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We’ll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. You’ll be compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment.
