As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you’ll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, to help deliver high-quality care and service. You’ll take on leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager, helping with everything from care standards to motivating your team. You’ll inspire a multidisciplinary team to ensure residents enjoy the best possible quality of life.Main duties of the jobYou’ll be responsible for leading by example, monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and checking regulatory compliance. You’ll set the highest standards and draw on your skills to develop and deliver strategies to achieve your goals. You’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. Previous experience in a nursing home setting is essential, as is evidence of continuous professional development. You’ll also need experience in managing safeguarding investigations, clinical risk assessments, HR, sales and marketing, and budget management.
